Speaker 1:

Hey folks, welcome to the Natural Manic Adventures. It's been a minute, but I moved to Wyoming, at least temporarily, to work, and here I am today in Kurt Gowdy State Park. I'm going to take a hike on one of the trails here. It's going to be a hike to Hidden Falls, which is on the side of one of the reservoirs here in Kurt Gowdy State Park. If you don't know, kurt Gowdy State Park is located between Laramie and Cheyenne in Southeastern Wyoming, not too far from Denver, about two hours north of Denver, about an hour north of Fort Collins, colorado, and it's a nice little recreational paradise, pretty good size state park with a lot of trails. This is what I'm going to check out today. Why don't you come with me and check it out? We do cross the creek several times on the trail and you can see the type of terrain you're going over, but it's getting more lush as it's closer to the creek. Here let's keep going.

Speaker 1:

So, yes, I finally made it down here to Hidden Falls. You can probably hear it in the background. I hope you can hear me, okay. And there it is. It looks like it's coming out of a hole in the rock. Right there it's pouring down. The water is very cold. I have not walked in it, but it's pretty nice little waterfall. It's definitely worth the trip back here. The waterfall actually is behind me, there's the stream coming from the waterfall and there's lots of places to sit down and have a bite to eat, drink some water. Now I think it's time to head back. Okay, so I made it back to the truck and the nice hike. It took about two hours 45 minutes to do just under five miles, and came out right down there where the Hidden Falls sign is. Hey, if you enjoyed this hike and you want to see more like it, make sure to like, subscribe, follow, do all the things. Until then, guys and gals, see you out there on the trail. Bye.
