Speaker 1:

Alrighty. Hey, it's me, the natural medic, craig. This is my 75th podcast episode. I never thought I would get to 75 episodes when I started this in April of 2021. Right after the pandemic, I knew a lot of people were getting interested in outdoor activities because we've been cooped up so long with the pandemic and have been torn with the idea of a for a while. So I finally brought that to fruition. And here I am, 75 episodes later, and I'm actually living in Wyoming, which is like an outdoor lovers paradise. So much here to do, so much here to check out. But you're not interested in that. You're interested in something pertinent that I may have to say. So let me get to that point. Firstly, I want to thank each and every one of you for following me this far, because making it to 75 episodes is a big accomplishment in and of itself and I I didn't know if I'd get that far. I appreciate every one of you listening and supporting and I'm going to go forward. After this episode, I guess we'll be getting into season six of the podcast. I'm not very formative, but the cool thing about that is that I'm the master of my own destiny. I can perform at however I want, but I guess what I wanted to talk about on this episode is just how fortunate I am to have been able to broadcast and share my thoughts with you. And I'm actually at work. I'm actually driving out. I have a new job that I started mid-summer. I may not have gone into detail about it, but I probably talked about it on my YouTube channel or the podcast to a small extent.

Speaker 1:

I'm a travel paramedic In a remote paramedic, whatever you want, however you want to phrase it, and what that means is I am assigned at a remote or a non-typical location. In this particular case, I'm at a wind construction site in a very rural Wyoming near Laramie Wyoming, which is in the southeastern corner, the exact opposite corner from the Yellowstone and Grand Teton. That's on the northwestern corner. I'm on the southeast corner, which is still a pretty place to be, but it's a different type of place for sure. The great thing about having the great thing about being a travel paramedic is that I can go to different places. Remember, I learned we had a contract company I worked for. It's based out of Texas. We have contracts all over the United States. We have a lot in Texas, but we have a lot in Florida, we have a couple in Wyoming, we have some in South Dakota which I'm going to after I finish this particular contract for the year.

Speaker 1:

The opportunity for me to be able to get out here and travel and experience new places is an amazing part of this job, because I am really close to the Medicine Bowl National Forest, living in Laramie. There's another medicine bowl national forest, about 25, it's about 25 to 30 minutes from town. There's a gazillion trails out there, which I love. That, in addition to there's other places to go, other parts of the national forest or even state parks or what have you in the area as well. So that's pretty freaking cool.

Speaker 1:

I'm looking forward to going up to South Dakota after this, to the Black Hills, for a different project. That project is similar to this one, but it involves the conversion of a mine into a science lab in the Black Hills. But the Black Hills themselves the National Forest, pretty much encompasses most of the Black Hills. This is just a pretty nice state parks, so I'm definitely looking forward to explore there. So I have a lot more to bring you in the future of the podcast and the YouTube channel. I'll be coming soon Up in the Tri-Snow Shoe area To ski this year.

Speaker 1:

There's a ski area right there where I'm going to be working and lead South Dakota. I think it's the only ski area in the Black Hills, maybe the only ski area in South Dakota I'm not aware of, but I'm going to bring you some adventures from up there and some new experiences I haven't been able to do before. I've always wanted to snowshoe. I'm pretty sure I'll get a good opportunity to snowshoe in South Dakota, or I'll be just across the border from Wyoming, or if there's no Wyoming, which is like we're a Devil's Tower and some other places like that Are really on the 75th episode. I don't really want to talk about anything in particular. I just wanted to tell you where I'm at with the podcast and it's more exciting stuff to come. So I hope you'll keep listening.

Speaker 1:

I do appreciate your attention and you're listening to the podcast, or, if you're on the YouTube channel, either one. Please help me get to 25 and 100. I'm pretty close. I just need a belt. I need less than I think 200 downloads to get to 25 and 100. That's also a big accomplishment. What kind of voice do I have If you want to listen to me? But evidently I've asked people listening to me. I've had over 2000. Actually, I've had over 2,200 downloads as of this recording on the podcast. The exact number that escapes me. But anyway, just to reiterate the first point Because of the unique opportunity that I have, I'm going to bring you some more interesting places that I'm able to travel to. I'll be able to share those with you, and thank you for listening thus far. Stay with me for more adventures and, as I say, until next time, y'all, I will see you out on the trail. Bye for now.
